I love this Aussie guy Brad Turnbull, he goes into great detail in the video on how valuable a Powertec Multi System Workbench can be. The guy is definitely built, has a very strong upper and lower body. In the video Brad Turnbull shows you how you can perform these extra back exercises out of the machine. Some athletes and amateur bodybuilders might not of know you can do these exercises with this workbench. It's really great for getting the lats of your back.

Check out this video of pro bodybuilder Ivan Sadek pumping out a ton of reps on the Powertec Leverage Gym. Ivan Sadek shows you how good Powertec's equipment is and how big of a pump you can get. Of course you're not going to look like him, it's takes years of training. But buying a Powertec Gym is a really good start. As you notice from previous posts I made, you've probably noticed I'm a big fan Powertec fitness equipment. I saw this on YouTube so I had to post it on my fitness blog. Man is this guy a monster!

Out of all the new fitness equipment Powertec has released, the new Dip Machine Accessory looks like it could really build up your triceps. The mechanism is very smooth and reliable, nothing you could break. If you have never tried doing dips, you're totally missing out. You can get a really good pump in your triceps by doing this exercise. Just buying a regular power tower is applicable, but the new Powertec Dip Machine could be better. I definitely recommend trying this equipment out.

I guess for $129 it's not a bad deal, but you're not going to be able to put much weight on a simple accessory like that. At most the leg press looks like it could hold five 45lb plates, do the math and that's only 225lbs. I actually weigh that much, I'm better of standing up and squating by myself rather than spending $130 on a machine like that. 225lbs leg press is nothing, the average man could press that probably 20 times. Kind of disappointed with this new accessory to their line of fitness equipment, I thought their designers would be a lot smarter than that. Don't get me wrong, I like their other equipment, most of their equipment is solid, that's why I'm so surprised they came out with this. I would really like to see Powertec come out with a leg press where you can can add on a lot of weight. This dinky little think is more for grade school kids or high schoolers.

If you have ever tried out the Powertec Shape System, you probably found yourself a little disappointed. Mainly because Powertec usually builds quality fitness equipment. Well just like any other manufacturer, they have their screw ups. The bench and whole system is pretty solid, what I mean by solid is unbreakable. The problem is in the smoothness, the weights do not slide up and down properly on the poles. I went into a fitness store to try the Shape System out, one side was so bad I couldn't get the weights to go down all the way. The weights were getting stuck on the metal poles. I hear adding some silicone will help it slide, but you shouldn't have to do that.

I talked to some fitness store owners, they notified Powertec about the problem, but Powertec still hasn't addressed the problem. If you notice on their website they are having a clearance sale on the Powertec Shape System. Is that surprising, definitely not. It's market down $700, from $999 to $299. What's the tell you, they can't sell the bench! I really think it has to do with the material on the sliders, if they can make a smoother material to slide along the metal poles it would totally fix the machine. Till' that time I won't be buying a Powertec Shape System.

I don't know if any of you gym rats have notice, Powertec has just launched a new website for their fitness equipment. In fact they added two new workbench accessories to their home gyms. One being the leg press accessory and the other being the dip machine accessory. The dip machine looks very useful and stable, the leg press on the other hand just doesn't look solid at all. I really like Powertec equipment, most of their line of equipment is solid and smooth to workout with. The metal is commercial quality, they don't use cheap material at all. I just bought a half rack workbench from them a week ago, so far I love it and have been getting in some really good workouts, pumps I couldn't get before with my basic Weider bench. I also bought their leverage squat calf machine, it works awesome for your quads, hamstrings and your glutes.

With Powertec's new designed website I think we have a lot to look forward to. I think they'll be coming out with a lot more equipment and improvements to their old equipment. If you look closely on their new site, they have a build your own workbench button. It links straight to a video with all the accessories you can add on to their benches, I thought that new features on their website is really cool. This shows you how valuable Powertec fitness equipment can be for any athlete or bodybuilder.

Powertec is also running specials on their Roller Smith Cage and the Shape System. The Roller Smith Cage is definitely solid, but the Powertec Shape System is a piece of crap. When you do any kind of workouts with the cables, the weights stick on the two poles. The design was horrible. Powertec needs to redesign that machine, it makes me mad, because I was going to buy it until I tried it out at a fitness equipment store.
